Jakarta. Thursday, October 4th 2018 at Sultan Hotel Jakarta, Kangean Energy Indonesia (KEI) Community Development programs again received appreciation from practitioners and CSR observers in Indonesia. KEI is a PSC Contractor (KKKS) whose operating costs are approved by SKK Migas through mechanism of Work, Program & Budget (WP&B) meeting discussion which is borne by the country through upstream oil and gas activities by winning 3 Top CSR 2018 awards categories for Village Electricity Program in Raas Subdistrict (PLTD), Income Improvement Program of Sea Products Processing Business Coaching, and Top Leader on CSR Commitment 2018 for KEI President, Hirotaka Tanaka.

Top CSR awards are held by Business News Indonesia Magazine. Total of 132 leading companies from various industrial sectors participated in this activity. Top CSR is the highest assessment and awarding platform for companies operating in Indonesia, which are considered to have the best CSR programs. The assessment of CSR programs are based on the linkage of CSR activities to 3 aspects: ISO 26000, business strategies that use CSV (Creating Share Value) approach, and Good Corporate Governance (GCG) practices.

KEI President, Hirotaka Tanaka, said express his proudness in the achievements received by KEI. “We are certainly proud of the achievements of the company. This award is a clear proof of the company’s commitment in carrying out the CSR Program while supporting the Nawacita program, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)s from the Indonesian government” he said. KEI CSR Program is made not only to help the community in short-term, but to be very visionary long-term sustainable plan, starting from the development of regional infrastructure, improvements in social fields, improvement of schools, and programs that have an impact on the financial side that can improve the welfare of local communities.

KEI as PSC Contractor of SKK Migas, has done a lot to build the Electricity Program on six small islands in Raas District, Sumenep with great commitment and costs. For the Business Diversification Program with training and mentoring for the Marine Product Processing Program, it has also succeeded in increasing the income of fishermen families around the company’s operations in Sapeken.

Representing the Coordinator Minister of Human Development and Culture of Republic of Indonesia (PMK), Secretary Minister of PMK Ir. Yohanes Baptitsta Satya Sananugraha, M. ENG expressed his appreciation and congratulations for company won this award. He hopes that Top CSR Awards can be synergized with government programs, especially social empowerment and poverty alleviation programs.
